Privacy policy

Last updated 9 September 2026.

This site is run by Bitlabs Technologies LTD. It exists to turn text you supply into QR codes, and it is built so that doing so requires as little of your data as possible.

What you type never leaves your machine

Every QR code on this site is generated in your browser. The links, plain text, network names and passwords, contact details, message bodies, locations, calendar entries and spreadsheet files you enter are turned into codes by code running on your own computer. None of that content is transmitted to us, stored by us, logged by us or shared with anyone else. We could not produce it if we were asked for it.

This includes bulk generation. A CSV or Excel file you choose is read locally and the resulting archive is assembled locally. The file is never uploaded.

Your generation history

Codes you generate are saved to your browser's own IndexedDB storage so that the history page still shows them after you close the tab. That storage belongs to your browser profile. It is not synchronised to us and it is not visible to us.

The history page has a control that erases all of it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it too. Either way it is gone permanently, because there is no copy anywhere else.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which tools people actually use. It records the address of the page you are on, an approximate location derived from your network address, your device and browser type, and the site that referred you.

It does not receive the contents of any QR code, because those contents never leave your browser in the first place. Analytics tells us that a page was opened, not what was typed into it.

Advertising

This site will carry advertising supplied by Google AdSense. When it does, Google and its partners may set and read cookies in order to select and measure ads. Google explains that in its own advertising technologies policy. This section is written ahead of time so the disclosure is already here when ads are switched on. No advertising is being served today.

When advertising is switched on, visitors in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area will be shown a consent banner first, and will be able to withdraw that consent at any time from the same banner. Advertising will not set non-essential cookies for those visitors before consent is given.

What we never do

There are no accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no password to lose. We do not sell data, we do not build advertising profiles ourselves, and we do not use dynamic redirect codes, so we cannot see when or where a code you made is scanned.

Privacy questions can go to hey@any-qr.com, the same address as everything else on the contact page.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than applied silently.
