Most happy customers never leave a review, and the reason is rarely unwillingness. Finding the business on Google Maps, scrolling to the reviews and tapping the right button is three steps too many for someone on their way out of the door. A review QR code removes all of them. The camera opens your review form with the star rating already on screen, so the only thing left for the customer to do is tap a star and write a sentence.

Where to find your review link

  • Sign in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile and search for your business name on Google or open it in Maps.
  • In the profile's management panel, choose Ask for reviews. Google shows a short link to share, usually starting with g.page.
  • Copy that link and paste it above. The code updates as soon as the link is in.
  • No access to the profile? Look the business up with Google's Place ID Finder and paste the Place ID instead. It starts with ChIJ for most businesses.
  • Scan the finished code with your own phone before printing, and check it opens the review form for the right location.

Where it earns its place

On the receipt, the table card, the takeaway bag and the invoice email. Beside the till, where people wait with a phone already in hand. On the thank-you card inside a delivery box. A salon can put it on the mirror, a garage on the key tag, a clinic on the appointment reminder. The best spot is wherever a customer is at the moment they are most pleased with you.

Stay inside Google's rules

Google's review policies do not allow offering discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews, and they do not allow asking only happy customers while steering unhappy ones elsewhere. Ask everyone, offer nothing for it, and let the reviews be what they are. Reviews that break those rules can be removed, so a plain request on a card is both the honest approach and the safe one.

The link is encoded straight into the pattern, so there is no redirect service between the scan and Google, nothing to renew, and no scan limit. Any QR is not affiliated with Google.

Frequently asked questions

No. It holds your Google review link directly, with no redirect in between, so it keeps working for as long as your Business Profile exists.

The review link is the short g.page address Google gives a profile owner. A Place ID is the identifier Google Maps uses for any business, and this page turns it into the same write-a-review address. Either one opens the review form.

No. Google requires reviewers to be signed in. On most Android phones and for anyone using Gmail that is already the case, so the form opens ready to use.

Not in exchange for a review. Google's policies prohibit incentivised reviews, and they can be removed. Offer the code to every customer and ask for honest feedback.
